Transcultural adaptation of the Malayalam version of the diabetic foot ulcer scale-short form

IntroductionAmong Diabetes Mellitus (DM) patients, Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) is the most prevalent complication that affects patients' quality of life (QoL). The present study aims to translate, validate, and test reliability Scale-Short Form (DFS-SF) in Malayalam language.MethodologyThe DFS-SF questionnaire was translated language using Mapi Research Trust translation guidelines. content validity index (CVI) assessed for questionnaire. construct EQ-5D VAS.ResultsThe average CVI score 1.00. version has shown an excellent Cronbach's alpha score. There a positive correlation between dependence VAS (r = 0.538, p 0.014), bothered by ulcer care 0.494, 0.027).ConclusionThe newly valid reliable assessing QoL among DFUs patients.
